Project Animal Companion Care
One in 10 homeless people has an animal companion
Our Mission
While many view pet ownership as a luxury and privilege, some individuals may not fully understand the financial responsibilities it entails. In our society, pets are often considered family, and for some, they may be the only family they have. People without human family connections frequently turn to pets for companionship, comfort, to fill a void, warmth at night, and protection. These animals are essential to their well-being.
Our mission is to assist these pet owners in providing care for their animals, making a meaningful difference in their lives. We aim to show love and kindness without judgment and guide them towards improving their situations for both themselves and their beloved pets.
Vision
We are dedicated to supporting the less fortunate, homeless, and needy individuals in caring for their beloved pets. Often, we see displaced people accompanied by their loyal dogs, and immediately wonder if these animals have access to food, proper flea control, vaccinations, and treatment for any ailments. Many times, the owners struggle to meet their own needs, let alone those of their pets. This is where we aim to make a difference.
These conditions are not the pets’ fault; they did not choose this lifestyle and are innocent in their circumstances. We worry about their well-being, whether they are suffering from fleas or if their paws are burning on the hot ground. It saddens us to think about their hardships, especially knowing that these dogs will protect their owners no matter what, and that the owners often prioritize feeding their pets over themselves.
